Race-morning weather history

Mid-March NYC: cold starts (often 30s–40s F), wind chill on the FDR/bridge exposed sections — typical-climate characterization, UNVERIFIED; ERA5 supplies actuals. 2020 CANCELLED (first major COVID-era cancellation) and 2021 CANCELLED (no in-person race) — exclude both as no-race years; pre-2018 editions ran in summer/January and are a different slot (do not backfill March for them). Wyndo tracks what past editions of the race actually served up at the start hour — temperature, dew point, wind, and rain, and reads the live forecast for the start once the race confirms its schedule and race week arrives.
