Race facts
- Start line
- 525 S Tryon Street, Uptown Charlotte, between W Brooklyn Village Ave and Levine Ave of the Arts (start moved here in 2024 — official spectator guide calls it "new this year"); finish on 4th St near Mint St ~1 km north. Coordinates are the OSM block midpoint, approximate to ~60 m.
- Traditional start (not confirmed for 2026)
- 7:20 AM (America/New_York) — Official runner-info page (undated — does not print its edition year): marathon and half both 7:20 AM ET; Chick-fil-A 5K 7:10 AM from the same line (a different race, not a wave). Corrals open 6:30; field organized by pace groups, not timed waves. No wheelchair/elite gun published — unpublished, not absent. The same 7:20 held for 2025, but no source ties it to the 2026 edition explicitly — hence carried_forward; upgrade when a dated 2026 schedule publishes.
- Field size
- Marathon finishers, 2025 edition, per FindMyMarathon (aggregator; official RunSignUp results list no 2025 set). Weekend headcount (~11,000+) is ~4x this — do not substitute.
- Registration
- open (RunSignUp/Race Roster, tiered; 2026 marathon $150; sold out in 2024, so effectively capped)
